  1. Why is it important as a Christian to believe the Creed?
  2. Why do things that are common or orthodox feel confining to us?
  3. How does believing in an identity beyond yourself change the way you live?
    1. Our story doesn’t begin with ourselves. Consider this statement in light of your life. Discuss or share your story with others this week.
    2. You cannot know yourself apart from God and community. Celebrate and thank God for the community he’s given you. Spend time affirming that gift in one another.
  4. How does the inclusivity of the gospel affect the way you interact with others daily? Why does the inclusivity of the gospel sometimes bother us?
  5. How does the Creed’s declaration of cosmic mending, good news, and life with God change the way you live?
    1. Consider the miracles of Jesus. How do these give us hope for today?
    2. Consider and discuss how your work contributes to the cosmic mending God is doing today.
  6. How does the Creed’s bigger grip change the way you live?
    1. Consider and share a time you didn’t feel these things we declare in the Creed. How can your community remind you of truth when these seasons come?
    2. The great Amen is Jesus himself. Consider that we live by Jesus faithfulness alone. What, then, does this statement mean?
